Summer time is for vacations and family reunions.

This session was a surprise session for grandma for her birthday week, and we had the opportunity to capture a few shots for a two year old while on vacation with parents, grandparents and uncle.

We love photographing families having time together.  What a beautiful idea!

Every year we are commissioned by families to capture their most cherished images and could not be more honored, because we are trusted to share these moments, that are created while they are just living their days as well as prepared for the times in which they are set as a milestone approaches.

Here is this very handsome little one, a whole year in pictures... Makes you realize, what a truly wonderful world seeing through their eyes.

I love my clients and they are the ONE reason why my job is the most important thing I do while l...

It is hard to think that the hurricane in the fall of 2016 known as Matthew - was the day that these two sweet brothers were baptized - Family had traveled from afar as well as close friends - An intimate ceremony was had at the United Methodist Church -in Swansboro, NC - The weather outside prevented us from doing family pictures - post ceremony - but, no issues - the altar was a great place to get some of these done...

We love covering these moments, because these are and become family heirlooms for years to come - Families were to...

Why A Professional Photographer?

Hi!  So happy to have you here...

I just wanted to start by saying that in today's world everyone has access to a digital camera, that can take beautiful images at any moment with a touch of a button with its automatic settings. Let's face it, almost everyone has one, this is the world we live in!   So, you may ask: "Why not just have a friend or family member take my photographs?"

"Photography is an art; one that requires experience and practice" and in order to achieve wort...

A little something to get you started...

Perhaps a bit long... But, this e-mail evoked the stimulation of emotions such as "New Year’s Resolutions"

It has become a tradition that sometimes I like to hold on to, here are a few pieces for everyone to appreciate. I try to every year select out a few things to work on and keep that list in my Tiffany Blue Book by my bedside.

2014 has finally come to an end and I recently looked at my little book and I did pretty well with my 2014 goals {Both business wise and personal}

Oh, now... Thi...

Inspiration can take you to lengths…

So truly honored d to have been able to work alongside Antoine Hood  @antoinehood26

At age 28, Antoine’s NBA dream has a very real shelf life that grows closer to its end every day.  Time and again, Antoine has been on the verge of success, having made the preseason roster for the Denver Nuggets and San Antonio Spurs in 2006 and 2011, only to be cut before the seasons began.

Six years have passed since graduating from college as a known prospect and now at the age of many NBA veterans, Antoine’s...

Why hire a Professional Photographer?

While reading my daily usual fare of articles - I cannot help, but to emphasize on the incredible importance of various points while considering hiring a 'photographer" for a special day such as a wedding venue or a session such as your child's birthday or family pictures....

Susan Wilson, is one amazing woman and photographer and in her writings- she really reveals the love for what she is inspired for.  An amazing writer - here are a few excerpts and my thoughts combined!...

We've discussed some of the tools you can use in the studio, but what happens when you move outside? Suddenly, the elements that you had complete control of indoors begin to change, and you have to adapt to the lighting available. There are many factors that can affect your lighting; time of day, weather, season, and location are just a few. In combination with the variance of sunlight, these elements continuously change, making it difficult to predict or control the quantity, quality, color, or direction of light. These can have a...
